Position Overview
This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and ERP systems to support manufacturing operations and meet organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as Acumatica, including purchase order creation, tracking, and documentation.
- Negotiate pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and company policies.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee supplier performance to maintain quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, quality management, and production planning to coordinate procurement needs.
- Perform root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or procurement issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery, including materials management, logistics coordination, and inventory control.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all customer information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies related to procurement activities.
Requirements
- Over 2 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or purchase order handling & inventory management.
- Knowledge of software like Acumatica is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all types of people and departments (employees, customers, vendors, regulators).
- Ability to be self-directive and must be able to take ownership of the role and work independently.
